Terms of Use
Last updated:
These terms apply to the Countdown app for iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Watch and to its free trial and Countdown Lifetime purchase, provided by Miguel Rosa Zazo,Madrid, Spain (“we”, “us”). By using Countdown you agree to them.
The licence
Countdown is licensed to you under Apple’sLicensed Application End User License Agreement(the “Standard EULA”). These terms add to the Standard EULA; if the two conflict, the Standard EULA prevails.
What Countdown does
Countdown shows countdowns to dates from your calendars, your reminders and the deadlines you create. It relies on the data in those sources and on system features such as notifications, widgets and Live Activities, which your device controls.
Countdown is a planning aid. Always check important dates with their official source (your university, employer or the organiser). We aren’t responsible for missed exams, deadlines or appointments caused by wrong source data, sync delays, notifications or Live Activities the system didn’t deliver, or settings on your device.
Free trial and Countdown Lifetime
Countdown is free to download and works as follows:
- Free trial. Countdown is free to download, and every feature works for 7 days from your first download. The trial ends by itself: nothing is charged, and it never turns into a paid purchase or subscription. It runs once per Apple Account; reinstalling doesn’t restart it.
- Countdown Lifetime. A one-time In-App Purchase (non-consumable) that unlocks Countdown permanently. It’s not a subscription and never renews. The price is shown in the app before you buy and may vary by country.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
- Both work on every iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Watch signed in to the same Apple Account. Countdown Lifetime can be shared with your Family Sharing group.
- When the trial ends without a purchase, the app, its widgets, notifications, Live Activities and Siri actions stop working until you buy Countdown Lifetime. Your deadlines aren’t deleted.
Refunds and withdrawal
All payments are processed by Apple, so refunds are handled by Apple under its terms. You can request one atreportaproblem.apple.com. This doesn’t affect any rights you have under consumer law in your country.
Using Countdown
Don’t misuse the app: don’t try to bypass the purchase system, reverse-engineer it beyond what the law allows, or use it to break the law. You’re responsible for the content you add and for having the right to use the calendars you connect.
Your data
Your content stays yours. How we handle data is explained in the Privacy Policy.
Changes and availability
We work to keep Countdown running and up to date, but we can’t guarantee it will always be available or free of errors. We may change or discontinue features. If we ever stop offering Countdown, your Countdown Lifetime purchase will keep working in the last version you installed.
Liability
Countdown is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for Countdown in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability for intent or gross negligence, or any rights you have as a consumer that can’t be waived.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Spanish law. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live and may bring claims in its courts.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we’ll update the date above. Significant changes will be announced in the app before they take effect.
